"For we are God's masterpiece..." — Ephesians 2:10. My life is a Mosaic Masterpiece; not because it's perfect, but because it's been pieced together by God's hand.At the age of 19, I experienced a heartbreak of the passing of my Mom. It shattered the world I knew.But even in the middle of my grief, I made a choice: to hand God every broken piece.And in His grace, He did what only the Master Creator could do: He took my pain and began crafting something purposeful.He shaped my brokenness into wholeness— physically, mentally, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. Piece by piece. Layer by layer.With divine intentionality, He turned sorrow into strategy and mourning into mission.That's why Ephesians 2:10 has become more than a favorite verse—it's the foundation of my calling:To see, affirm, and nurture the masterpiece in others-especially in Black girls, Pre-K through 5th grade, who are often unseen, unheard, and misunderstood. God didn't just make me whole for me. He made me whole to be a vessel. A guide to help young girls recognize that they, too, are Mosaic Masterpieces. In this sacred work through Mosaic wounds—rejection, fear, silence, trauma—become hidden "STING"ers that plant themselves in the hearts of young girls. But with care, compassion, and Christ-centered strategies, those stingers can lose their sting. They can rise whole and possess a transformed kind and true identity in Christ! This Black, Indigenous, People Of Color Mental Health Month, I am committed to continuing the work of transformation. Helping our youngest masterpieces, urban girls ages Prek-5th grade, break cycles, build confidence, and believe in who God says they are. They are not too young to begin healing. Not too young to carry hope.Not too young to walk boldly in their purpose. Like me, they can take the pieces and give them to God. Because the last time I checked, He's still creating Masterpieces!
